About Me

I have over 9 years of experience as a web developer, working for clients ranging in size and scope from startup to cruise lines. My primary focus has been in developing high volume, robust applications that streamline existing infrastructure.

I love creating things. Engineering a solution with the help of a team to solve a customers business issue gives me a great deal of satisfaction. I'm looking for a role where I can take on a senior position and collaborate with a team, continuing to learn and grow as a developer and manager.

  • Led the design and development of a flag-ship product utilized to consolidate scattered third party APIs into one easy to access system.
  • Led team in migrating large project from obsolete framework to Yii2, reworking system to allow for more agile development of new features at the same time.
  • Redeveloped of main online storefront from a home grown platform to a modern MVC framework.
  • Created and maintained reporting systems for clients, allowing the easy consumption and comparison of data from many sources.
Personal Interests
  • Contact and Fire spinning. Five years ago a friend of mine showed me Poi and Contact Staff and I've been hooked ever sense. I find the experience of lighting up and preforming to be a cathartic experience unlike any other.
  • Sailing and Kayaking. I've always loved the water, and enjoy being on it as much as I can weather is sailing the bay or finding a new spot in the mangroves to explore.
  • Travel. I firmly believe in the philosophy that travel expands the mind and have had the opportunity to travel quite often in my life. I enjoy visiting new places, trying new foods, and exploring far from home.
Recent Projects
  • At Sourcetoad I was a key member of the team that designed and built a product intended to work as an IOT device manager, CDN, analytics platform, and booking system for guests. All while disconnected from the wider world and using data from a number of sources with varying quality of data. When connection to the wider world was available, the system would sync data allowing for central control of a dispersed set of systems.
  • Assisted with the creation of a system capable of working through large datasets of hotel pricing/availability. Utilizing a set of dynamic rules, this system could quickly and with a high degree of certainty, advice users on the best deals that fit within their criteria.
